28TH Annual Minneapolis-St. Paul
International Film Festival Apr. 15-30, 2010
The 28th Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival (MSPIFF) set for April 15 to April 30 at St. Anthony Main Theatre. Nationally recognized, MSPIFF is the largest film event in the upper Midwest exhibiting cutting-edge film from around the globe to a broad MN audience. The festival delights audiences with a rare glimpse of films from all corners of the earth, patrons experience a variety of cultures, see first hand some of the best cinema the world has to offer, with the added bonus to rub elbows with visiting filmmakers.

The festival expects to screen over 100 films culled by fest director Al Milgrom from visits to major film festivals this year (Toronto, Berlin, Karlovy Vary, Montreal, and others.) With the help of Linda Blackaby, Founder of the Philadelphia International Film Festival and programmer for the San Francisco International Film Festival, and from field assistants in more than a dozen countries, the 28th Annual MSPIFF program will attract a wide variety of film lovers.
Opening and closing night films and venues will be announced as March print deadlines approach, along with thematic sections, sidebar showcases, and panels with visiting directors.
Sponsored by Minnesota Film Arts (MFA). MFA presents the best of new and historical independent and international cinema to the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota audiences and is dedicated to ensure the legitimacy of film as a sustainable community-based art form.

The “satellite” spinoff of MSPIFF, the 14th Annual Rochester International Film Festival, is slated for May 1-7 this year.
