Film in Contemporary Asia - Panel Discussion at Pracna (follows the 1:00PM screening of I Wish I Knew by Jia Zhang-ke). Participants include University of Minnesota Twin Cities McKnight Land-Grant Professor, Jason McGrath, University of Minnesota Asian Languages and Literatures Professor, Christine Marran and University of Minnesota Art Professor, Tom Rose.

The Panel will explore contemporary currents in Asian cinema including issues that may be culturally specific to one region or culture or common to all Asian cultures-a wonderful opportunity to survey the Asian cultural landscape seen through the lens of contemporary film.
