Motionpoems introduces video artists to literary artists, transforming great contemporary poems into compelling short films. It began as a spark between two Minnesota artists, animator/producer Angella Kassube and poet Todd Boss, and has grown in four short years into a new hybrid form. Now a nationally recognized program co-produced by Kassube and Boss, Motionpoems premires about a dozen new shorts annually, building new audiences for poetry through screenings in theaters and free distribution online. This year the Walker host the premiere of Motionpoems' 2013 selections. Approximate running time 60 minutes.
Co-presented by the Minnespolis St. Paul International Film Festival.
