In Karachi, Pakistan, we meet the sweet, but downtrodden youth Omar, a runaway struggling to find his place in an economically ravaged city. Omar and his many friends at his orphanage voluntarily ran away from abusive family situations. However, we quickly learn that, for many of these orphans, their desire to reunite with their family proves too strong, paving the way for an extremely heartbreaking return.

The Machine Which Makes Everything Disappear, buoyed by the kind-hearted Georgians inhabiting the frame, showcases a diverse cross-section of this poor European state.
