This second film from Hungarian director Diana Groo is a sweet but not overly sentimental tale about a 12-year-old boy's first venture outside of his hometown.  Learning he just won a new Vespa scooter, the young Roma boy Lali sets off with a street musician to Budapest, where his prize awaits him.

The film is playful in its depiction of the young boy's naïveté, but its power comes from its touching portrayal of the mother-son bond, as shown between Lali and his single mother Mari.  The story is sleek, joyous and a must-see for both avid festivalgoers and casual cinema fans.
