Award-winning filmmaker Hajo Schomerus (known internationally for his remarkable short films) presents his new documentary spotlighting a different kind of religious strife in the Holy Land.

In My Father's House Are Many Mansions follows representatives of six different Christian denominations tasked with maintaining the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, where thousands of pilgrims gather at Christmastide.  The film captures the squabbles of these otherwise pious men, each of whom claim their denomination to be the sole and rightful guardian of this sacred site.  Even completing the most insignificant of maintenance procedures become gargantuan tasks for these territorial men of God.  Schomerus explores how the guardians’ constant jealousy and bickering undercut their larger mission of maintaining the holiest of sites for 2 billion people worldwide.
