An improbable couple must make the choice to live in exile to stay together in this documentary from Swedish filmmaker Gabriella Bier.  An Israeli woman and a Palestinian man are without the support of their families when they make the decision to wed.  Constantly faced with the prejudices in their own homes, they take their chances on a happier life in Europe.  For three years Bier followed the couple, documenting their strife and hope at every turn.  Love During Wartime is a heartbreaking and celebratory story of the trials of young romance and displaced lives. Newcomer Bier is the cousin of Denmark’s Oscar-winning director Suzanna Bier.
