Director Rajko Grlic Present

Award-winning filmmaker Rajko Grlic’s latest film within his impressive body of work, Just Between Us, is a playful but indiscreet story about the irreverent libido that hides beneath everyday bourgeois life and manners, seen frankly amid a group of long-standing Balkan friends. Double lives, philandering relationships, and the bittersweet stories of relentless quests for love and passion are told from the perspectives of two brothers, their wives, and their children. Starring veteran Serbian actor Miki Manojlovic among a quartet of high comic players, and set in Zagreb, the film chronicles the highly personal, often painful, ever confidential things that happen behind the curtains of well-established families. Grlic, 64, a member of the highly regarded Prague Film School, 1970’s generation, has been long-time film professor at Ohio University.

Winner of Best Director at the 2010 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
