While waiting for construction on their new building to be completed, young couple Beata and Bartek and their two children move into a tiny Warsaw apartment occupied by Bartek’s mother. The close quarters escalate long-brewing tensions between the two women, until an unexpected change in the situation forces an uneasy truce.

As the family’s dreams slide further and further out of reach, Savior’s Square emerges as an intimate look at a modern, average Polish family facing the dotcom age but with lives sometimes touching Greek tragedy.  Film’s script emerged from a cast workshop based on a true story.  This latest effort from the husband-and-wife team behind My Nikifor claimed four Polish Eagle Award, including Best Film, Director, Actress and Supporting Actress.
