Dilettante musician Benny (Alberto San Juan) makes a reluctant journey to his small Spanish hometown to attend his father’s funeral. While he’s in town, he decides to rekindle an affair with an old flame but winds up forming an unexpected bond with the woman’s rebellious young daughter. At the same time, he finds himself striking up a friendship with his own hard-luck brother. Just as Benny’s self- discovery begins to blossom, a series of ugly incidents threatens to send him packing. “Ace performance from Alberto San Juan, who makes the movie his own by simply flooding it with humanity.” – Variety SPAIN• 2007 • 107 MINUTES • DIRECTOR: FELIX VISCARRET |
