“In the course of making this documentary I met sadists, masochists, fetish divas, kinksters, sexologists, pain freaks, dominatrixes, nipple clamp salesmen, self-proclaimed perverts and even bondage furniture manufacturers. The internet has blown the doors off this previously underground world. Annual fetish conventions and over 350 BDSM organizations across the U.S. educate anyone wanting to learn the ropes. Many people now enjoy living this alternative lifestyle while others make a good living practicing it full-time. But why do they enjoy being tied up for erotic pleasure? What is it deep down in their psyche? My film sets out to find an explanation.” — Tony Cane-Honeysett A graduate of Ealing College of Art & Design in England, Tony Cane-Honeysett (director) was born and raised in London. Formerly an advertising copywriter at Chiat Day and J. Walter Thompson, his previous work includes the Emmy Award-winning documentary ‘The Royal Academy’ (2005) broadcast on PBS.
