It opens with a surprising statement by Salvador Dali, which leads into a sequence of filmmakers defending their moral rights including Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen. From trials in Paris that defend John Huston’s motive to release the colored version of to a case in Copenhagen where the original scope format of a Sydney Pollack film was manipulated for television, the various ways in which films are altered are brought to light.
