Lily (Loren Horsley) works as a cashier at a fast-food restaurant, "Meaty Joe", where Jarrod (Jermaine Clement), a self-aggandizing, clueless geek, works at the electronics store next door.

Lily, whose secretly in love with Jarrod, crashes a video game/dress as-your-favorite animal costume party, impressing him enough with her shark suit and gaming prowess to score a hookup with Jarrod, who is in his Lord Eagle costume. Once the two become closer, Jarrod begins telling Lily about how he's been obsessed with fighting the bully from his childhood that Lily offers to drive Jarrod back to his hometown to confront his nemesis. With so much subtlety and precision Lily and Jarrod's attempt to reach each other are hilarious and excruciatingly real with oddball charm to go along. Set to the sounds of an incredible strange yet wonderful soundtrack, Eagle vs Shark is an awkwardly romantic entertaining film.

Cast: Jermaine Clement, Loren Horsley, Craig Hillm, Rachel House
